Information Technologies Account Registration

New students: Use this webpage to register your Information Technologies computing account (IT Account).
  • You will be able to complete this account registration the day after you receive your Student ID.
  • You must register your IT Account in order to have an ucalgary email address.
  • Once the registration is completed, your ucalgary email address will automatically be created and will be visible in your Student Centre after 24 hours.
  • Your ucalgary email address will be marked as your preferred email for university communications.
  • You will also have the option to download Office 365 on your computer and/or mobile device.

  • You will be able to complete this account registration the day after you receive your employee ID.
  • You must register your IT Account in order to have an ucalgary email address.
  • Your ucalgary email address will be marked as your preferred email for university communications.
  • You will also have the option to download Office 365 on your personal computer and/or mobile device
  • As an employee your account will be automatically enabled to authenticate using the enhanced security of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) the first time you login to email services. To be prepared for this, please read the MFA Getting Started article.

Getting Started Guide for Faculty and Staff

Returning students or previous employees:
  • If you have successfully registered for an IT Account within the past year, you do not need to repeat the IT Account registration.  Your account will automatically be re-activated.
  • If you have forgotten your password, please see the Accounts & Password Recovery Instructions.
  • If you have previously registered for an IT Account, but have not used it in the past year, continue with this page to register a new account.
